The Fork Lift Truck Association has announced the new date for its prestigious Awards for Excellence, which recognises the best and brightest in the materials handling sector. As the longest running event of its kind, the 26th FLTA Awards was due to take place in spring 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic. The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has launched a brand-new website, complete with a modern look, fresh features and updated functionality, designed to support members and non-members better than ever before. The new site covers all the latest government advice on Coronavirus in the Covid-19 Resource Centre, including health and hygiene factsheets for managers and equipment users. There is even a new Knowledge Hub to answer FAQs on a range of subjects. The Fork Lift Truck Association is calling all entries for the annual prestigious event to be held on Saturday 21st March 2020. Now in its 26th year, the FLTA Awards for Excellence is the longest running industry awards presentation of its kind and is a highlight of the materials handling event calendar. The Awards are free to enter and importantly, companies can self-nominate, allowing them to put forward the initiatives and products that they are most proud of. The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has announced that Peter Harvey MBE, is to leave his post following a 6+ year tenure as Chief Executive. “We would like to thank Peter for the excellent work he has done in raising the profile of the Association” said FLTA Chairman Duncan Nealon. “In his time with us he has overseen a number of important initiatives, working hard to push our Safety agenda.
