LogiMAT 2021—the International Trade Show for Intralogistics Solutions and Process Management scheduled for June 22–24, 2021, in Stuttgart, Germany—has to be postponed due to the difficult ongoing situation with Covid-19. The organizer, EUROEXPO Messe- und Kongress-GmbH, has decided to push back the upcoming trade show to March 8–10, 2022, to give exhibitors the certainty they need for long-term planning. The organizer is working on a digital concept so that visitors and exhibitors can still meet virtually in 2021. “Given the current state of vaccinations and the virus mutations, there is no foreseeable end to the travel restrictions in place today. Morris Leslie Plant Hire has placed a £36m order for more than 500 Loadall telehandlers with dealer Scot JCB. JCB said that it was the biggest ever single order for telehandlers that it had ever taken. The 555 Loadalls to be delivered range from the compact six-metre 525-60 up to the 20-metre 540-200. The machines will be built at JCB World Headquarters in Rocester, Staffordshire. Northeast-based construction equipment rental company Nixon Hire has signed a £14m deal for 235 JCB Loadall telehandlers. Nixon Hire placed the order with dealer Scot JCB for the full range of Loadalls, from the six- metre 525-60 model to the 20-metre 540-200. Toyota Material Handling has donated a Toyota Tonero forklift truck to Leicestershire Fire & Rescue Service. The Tonero forklift truck will be used to aid Firefighter training at the Southern Fire and Rescue Station, Leicester. Its duties are to include moving vehicles and heavy apparatus used in training within the station yard.
