Clark Extends IC Counterbalance Range with 8t Model

New Trucks
Clark has extended its range of counterbalance forklifts with internal combustion engines. Under the model name C80D900, the industrial truck specialist is launching a new diesel forklift version with a load capacity of eight tons at 900 mm load centre. The vehicle now takes its place in the existing C60-80 series with load capacities of six to eight tons. Like all Clark vehicles, the C80D900 has been designed in accordance with the proven ‘built-to-last’ concept, which stands for solid, functional design with high-quality components. This includes a fully welded robust frame, a sturdy steering axle, and robust lifting gear with a solid eight-roller fork carriage with four side support rollers. The lifting cylinder and the quiet lifting hydraulics ensure gentle, low-noise load...
Baumann launches largest sideloader ‘in history’

Baumann launches largest sideloader ‘in history’

New Trucks
Sideloader manufacturer Baumann has unveiled the GXS500, its new 50 tonne capacity model and the largest of its kind in the world. The GXS500 was delivered to fruit concentrates company Austria Juice earlier this year and launched at a gala celebration of Baumann’s 50th anniversary. Designed to carry 40ft containers using inverted forks and a specially modified spreader beam, the sideloader also features a raised cabin to see over the top of containers, which tilts and angles forward to sit in front of the main deck. The technique was first used in Baumann’s GXS200 range and has proved extremely useful for providing clear views with and without loads. Austria Juice turned to Baumann through their partners Kalmar Austria GmbH when traditional container handling methods proved u...

Kalmar Introduces New-Generation Heavy-Duty Forklift

New Trucks
Kalmar, part of Cargotec, recently announced a new-generation version of its forklift solution for demanding loads of up to 54 tons. The Kalmar DCG380-540 is designed to offer the heavy-lifting power needed to handle the heavy loads typically seen in the stevedoring and metal industries combined with the smooth, precise control of a smaller-capacity machine. The Kalmar heavy forklift offers a new lifting experience for heavy-duty, high-capacity forklifts, with improved lifting and lowering speeds combined with load-sensing hydraulics to ensure smooth, safe handling of even the most challenging loads. It also features built-in connectivity as standard to enable customers to take advantage of the Kalmar Insight performance management tool, which provides a clear overview of fleet oper...

JCB presents new Teletruk at IMHX

New Trucks
JCB brought its electric-powered telescopic lift truck, the 35-22E to Birmingham’s annual International Materials Handling Exhibition. The 35-22E has a lift capacity of 3.5 tonnes and joins the JCB 30-19E battery powered model which was added to JCB’s award-winning Teletruk range earlier this year “The JCB Teletruk has revolutionised materials handling operations in builders merchants, ports, recycling centres and industrial facilities around the world since it was first unveiled in 1997,” says JCB’s Teletruk General Manager Paul Murray. “The introduction of these electric machines means that Teletruk technology can now be deployed both inside and outside the warehouse, distribution centre or factory facility to deliver the ultimate in materials handling versatility.” The new ...

Doosan upgrades warehouse truck range

New Trucks
South Korean forklift giant Doosan has launched a major upgrade programme to its high-performance warehouse truck range, starting with enhanced new models in its stacker and powered pallet truck ranges. The vehicles, which were debuted as last month’s IMHX in Birmingham, included the BPL18/20S-7 with lateral drive, the BPM20S-7 with middle drive and the BDL13S-7(H) double stacker. Standard features across the range include low-noise and maintenance-free AC motors, electric power steering, regenerative braking, sensitive proportional hydraulics, multi-functional display for monitoring energy and machine status, turtle speed button, hydraulic damper for shock-free load lowering – all combined with a robust, compact chassis that offers high manoeuvrability in tight spaces and designed-...

Hyster updates Reach Truck range with tilting mast feature

New Trucks
Hyster Europe is simplifying warehouse operations where space is at a premium with a tilting mast fork lift. Extending the range of its Reach Truck series, the new, compact machine provides improved manoeuvrability, even in narrow aisles. “The new Hyster Reach Truck models are designed for retail, food and drink warehouses operations in mind, lifting up to 1,400kg and reaching heights of up to 7.5m” said Timo Antony, area business director for Central Europe, Hyster. “These operations typically have tight spaces, so we have included a mast which can be tilted back.” An integral side shift and compact chassis design also help improve productivity, storing and retrieving goods even in tight spaces. The titled mast now features on the R1.0E, 1.2E and 1.4E models of the range w...
New Clark Electric Four-Wheelers Take on IC Rivals

New Clark Electric Four-Wheelers Take on IC Rivals

New Trucks
Clark has launched a new range of electric four-wheel forklift trucks capable of taking on combustion forklifts, not just in terms of power, but also in terms of cost. The EPXi performs its tasks just as reliably as a comparable diesel or LPG forklift and the cost of purchase is also on par with that of an IC Forklift. The EPXi electric forklift is therefore the quiet and eco-friendly alternative for customers who have so far decided against an electric vehicle. In many fields of application, which were once considered a purely combustion engine domain, today’s electric forklifts ensure at least the same high efficiency. The reason why many operators still decide against electric vehicles are the often higher procurement costs. With the EPX20i-32i, Clark has now designed an electric...

See the new Flexi ACiON and LiTHiON at IMHX 2019

Manufacturer, New Trucks
IMHX 2019 will see the official launch Narrow Aisle Ltd’s new Flexi ACiON and Flexi LiTHiON VNA lift truck ranges. With all drive, hydraulic and power-steering functions controlled digitally, the trucks in the Flexi AC iON (lead acid battery-powered) and Flexi LiTHiON (lithium-ion battery-powered) collections are described as a ‘tour de force’ in articulated lift truck drivability and reliability. The introduction of digitally controlled motors for all key functions delivers a more integrated truck performance and results in greater reliability, higher productivity and significantly reduced operating and maintenance costs Full digital control means that all models are ultra-energy efficient: every time the truck’s mast is raised or lowered, as well as during forward and reverse tr...

Bobcat expands telehandler range

Bobcat expands telehandler range

New Trucks
Bobcat is expanding its telehandler range with the addition of two new machines. Now offering a choice of 13 rigid frame models for applications in construction, rental, recycling, waste and general industry, the TL43.80HF and TL30.70 ensure the maximum lifting capacities cover 2.6 and 4.3 metric tons with lifting heights from 6 to 18m. The high performance TL43.80HF combines a maximum lift height of 8m and the maximum lift capacity of the range. Due to the box welded frame, a low load centre, the long wheelbase and the new large rear counterweight, the new machine has very high stability and enabled Bobcat engineers to reduce the overall dimensions to a width of only 2.3m and less than 5m long. With a turning radius of 3.71m, the telehandler is powered by a Bobcat 130hp en...
