26th FLTA Awards Online

The Fork Lift Truck Association has announced the new date for its prestigious Awards for Excellence, which recognises the best and brightest in the materials handling sector.

As the longest running event of its kind, the 26th FLTA Awards was due to take place in spring 2020 but was delayed due to the pandemic. It has been rescheduled to take place online on Saturday 17th April 2021. “We had great plans for our 2020 event but, like so many others, we sadly had to postpone,” explains Tim Waples, Director of the FLTA and Chief Executive of UKMHA.

“It is one of the biggest nights of the industry calendar and although the Awards will be online this year, we are making sure it will retain the unique blend of entertainment, fun and Oscars-style suspense for both the finalists and the audience.

“The winners will receive their well-deserved ‘Archies’ and will have their time to shine. They may have had to wait just a little bit longer to find out whether they’ve won, but we will make sure each winner is recognised for their outstanding work and contributions to materials handling.”

The FLTA Awards for Excellence marks the impressive achievements of companies as well as individuals. Awards categories include: Dealer of the Year, Apprentice of the Year, Supplier of the Year, Safe Site, Services to the Industry, and Lifetime Achievement, as well as the much sought-after Pick of the Year accolades for Safety, Innovation, Ergonomics and Environment.

“We are particularly grateful to our sponsors and ticket holders for their patience and understanding given the pandemic and its impact on the Awards,” adds Tim Waples. “We are lucky enough to work with the biggest names in the industry and their involvement in the event is integral.
