Kalmar completes the delivery of forklifts and reachstackers to Ashdod Port, Israel

Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has supplied Ashdod Port Company Ltd with a total of eight Kalmar G generation medium forklifts and seven Kalmar Gloria reachstackers. The order was booked in Cargotec’s 2018 Q3 order intake and delivery of all machines was completed during Q2 2019. Opened in 1956, Ashdod Port is Israel’s largest marine port by cargo volume and is a major gateway for goods and cargo to and from the State of Israel. Kalmar To Launch New Li-Ion Forklift

Kalmar will introduce a medium electric forklift powered by lithium-ion (Li-ion) battery technology. The new forklift is the latest step on the company's journey towards offering an electric version of every product in its portfolio by 2021. It is the first forklift in the medium-capacity range to be powered by Li-ion batteries, and the battery technology will initially be available for several models with a wheelbase of 3,500 mm.   Kalmar, part of Cargotec, has concluded an agreement to supply Servicios Logisticos Portuarios SLP, a leading cargo-handling operator at the Port of Bilbao, Spain with a total of five heavy-duty forklift trucks. The order was booked in Cargotec's 2019 Q1 order intake, with delivery scheduled to be completed early in Q3 of 2019. The customer already operates a number of older Kalmar forklifts at Bilbao and appreciates their reliable performance. To enhance Kalmar’s growth opportunities, Cargotec has decided to reorganise it into three strategic business units (SBU); Kalmar Mobile Solutions, Kalmar Automation Solutions and Navis as of April 1, 2019. Cargotec’s financial reporting structure based on three business areas Kalmar, Hiab and MacGregor, will remain unchanged. As part of the process, executive roles have also been restructured. Stefan Lampa has been appointed President of Kalmar Mobile Solutions and a member of the Cargotec Board.
