Doosan opens forklift rental centre in Korea

Doosan Corp., the holding company of South Korea’s leading machinery and construction equipment conglomerate Doosan Group, has opened a new forklift rental and maintenance centre that will offer customers upgraded, comprehensive services at one place.

Doosan Corp. said Sunday that it opened ‘Doosan Logipia’ forklift rental business centre in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi Province. The Doosan Logipia with a total floor area of 2,420 square meters is designed to offer comprehensive services related to forklift truck rentals, ranging from a rental service and a showroom to repair and maintenance services, according to the company.

The company will offer a wide variety of forklift trucks for rental including electric forklifts fitted with lithium-ion rechargeable batteries. It will also provide loans for customers who rent or purchase machines and equipment at the centre and sell their used forklifts, which would undergo a seven-step examination process for quality assurance.

Doosan has been aggressively moving to expand its forklift truck business. It took over a British forklift rental service firm Rushlift in 2015 and opened a factory store in Atlanta, United States last year. The company also unveiled two new electric forklift trucks, which are upgraded to work well in tight spaces, in celebration of Doosan Logipia’s opening.
