Customer Service at Heart of TVH Growth Strategy

General, PARTS
“Sorry, our entire budget went to excellent customer service.” That’s what the new billboard on TVH’s headquarters in Waregem—looking out on motorway E17—says. The global supplier of parts and accessories for material handling and industrial equipment is known for its witty billboards, that are always designed in-house. But never before has one been this popular on social media. What’s more, it perfectly summarises TVH’s ambition for the coming years: optimising customer experience (CX). It was with this ambition in mind that TVH established a new division last year: Customer Experience. “This dedicated CX team brings together experts from different fields in order to put CX at the heart of our business,” said Silke Verfaillie, Global CX Manager at TVH. “We’ll be concentrating on e-...

Ludovic Jankov, corporate used equipment manager at Haulotte Group, says used equipment has, to date, accounted for less than 5% of Haulotte's total sales. All machines are inspected by dedicated teams and serviced with Haulotte parts. The equipment will undergo numerous checks before it is deemed 'ready to work'. According to Jankov, "All our MEWPs and telehandlers are (in demand) in the used equipment market." Haulotte's scissor lifts experience the stron...

Quiet equipment ‘essential for good local relations’, says JCB boss

General
If urban warehouse operators want to avoid costly legal disputes and be seen as good neighbours careful consideration must be given to the design of the facility and the mix of material handling equipment that operates outside and in, claims Paul Murray, JCB’s Teletruk General Manager. “Given that logistics hubs may need to operate 24 hours a day, it is essential that every effort is made to ensure that materials handling equipment in use within any urban warehouse is as quiet as possible,” he says. “Site managers must also ensure that they are using the cleanest machinery available and be certain that it complies with the minimum emission standard requirement for the area in which they operate – especially in higher density environments.” Two of the most common causes of fri...

General
TVH, a global player in the material handling, industrial and agricultural equipment industry, launched a new website last week: ‘Humans of TVH' (humansoftvh.com). With its new website ‘Humans of TVH’, TVH portrays employees who tell about their job, work experience, hobbies, family, passion for travel and more. The idea came from the world-famous website 'Humans of New York', on which residents from different backgrounds are placed in the spotlight with their personal stories.
