Its site in Cork, founded in 1856, employs 458 people and ships 2 million kegs per year to pubs, hotels, restaurants, supermarkets and wholesalers. Sideloader manufacturer Baumann has unveiled the GXS500, its new 50 tonne capacity model and the largest of its kind in the world. The GXS500 was delivered to fruit concentrates company Austria Juice earlier this year and launched at a gala celebration of Baumann’s 50th anniversary. Designed to carry 40ft containers using inverted forks and a specially modified spreader beam, the sideloader also features a raised cabin to see over the top of containers, which tilts and angles forward to sit in front of the main deck.
