The FLTA’s National Forklift Safety Convention 2019 being held on Wednesday 30th October 2019 at the Heart of England Conference and Events Centre, Coventry will be focusing on the importance of clear communication under the theme of managing behaviours to transform onsite operations. The event is accredited to provide four Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours, as during the convention attendees will hear a series of inspiring presentations filled with tips and advice on improving listening and management skills. The Fork Lift Truck Association is calling all entries for the annual prestigious event to be held on Saturday 21st March 2020. Now in its 26th year, the FLTA Awards for Excellence is the longest running industry awards presentation of its kind and is a highlight of the materials handling event calendar. The Awards are free to enter and importantly, companies can self-nominate, allowing them to put forward the initiatives and products that they are most proud of. There are several categories, but the Pick of the Year accolades for Safety, Innovation, Ergonomics and Environment, are the most sought after. The Fork Lift Truck Association (FLTA) has announced that Peter Harvey MBE, is to leave his post following a 6+ year tenure as Chief Executive. “We would like to thank Peter for the excellent work he has done in raising the profile of the Association” said FLTA Chairman Duncan Nealon. “In his time with us he has overseen a number of important initiatives, working hard to push our Safety agenda.
