Lift West Limited is pleased to be able to offer its support to Mind in Somerset in relation to its campaign to promote and raise awareness of mental health in the materials handling community. To this end we are proud to introduce the newest member of our hire fleet, Mervyn the Mind forklift.
Painted purple to stand out from the crowd, Mervyn already has customers approaching Lift West to hire him to show support for the amazing work Mind in Somerset carries out. As part of their offer of support Lift West has agreed to donate 10 per cent of Mervyn’s hire income to the mental health charity.
When asked for comment Steve Potter, managing director of Lift West said: “Mental health is an important topic that impacts many aspects of our day to day lives and we were delighted when Mind in Somerset accepted our proposal of a partnership with them to raise awareness in our industry. It is important to raise awareness of this issue because 1 in 4 of us will experience poor mental health each year and we recognise that this issue is a growing problem that can affect anyone. We are proud to be partnered with such a charity, and wish to support the essential work that Mind is doing in our local communities. Although affiliated to national Mind, we are an independent charity that has to self-fund our services and we rely heavily on the generosity of our fundraisers and local businesses to do this.”
