Somerset-based Blackmores Machinery Haulage has taken delivery of a new bespoke-built forklift trailer from Andover Trailers – its first from the Hampshire manufacturer. The new 36-tonne tri-axle step frame curtainsider is a new addition to Blackmores Machinery Haulage’s fleet, with the company taking advantage of Andover Trailers’ custom approach to ensure it can accommodate its 16-tonne Versalift and 27-tonne Hoist heavy-duty forklifts. The 100th Aisle Master articulated forklift to be delivered to UK logistics giant Eddie Stobart was recently handed over to representatives of the company at Combilift’s manufacturing facility in Monaghan, Ireland. Eddie Stobart acquired its first Aisle Masters for its Contract Logistics and Warehousing Division deployed around the UK. JCB Logistics LPG Teletruks now stage V compliant

JCB has announced that a number of LPG-powered models in its LPG Logistics Teletruk range are now Stage V compliant – four months ahead of the introduction of the new emissions standard. Due to be implemented from January 1, 2019, Stage V of the EU regulations will bring a new requirement to reduce Particulate Number (PN) emissions alongside continued control of particulate matter (PM) and nitrogen oxide (NOx) emissions in the EU for non-road vehicles. Every day, five fork lift truck drivers are injured or killed – but a new campaign aims to to stop these tragic accidents happening. The Fork Lift Truck Association has launched its ‘Safetember’ campaign, which will run next month as part of National Fork Lift Safety Month. The theme – ‘Make sure they get home safe’ urges truck operators and their employers to take truck safety seriously. It comes as an estimated 1,300 fork lift truck accidents happen in the UK every year, and five drivers are injured or killed every day. Lisa Ramos is a Safety Ambassador for the FLTA.
