More Loadalls arrive at Tru Plant

Ipswich-based Tru Plant has taken delivery of another 30 new JCB Loadall telescopic handlers. The new telehandlers are part of a £16m order for more than 300 JCB machines that Watling JCB has been delivering over the past 18 months. The JCB 540-140 HiViz Loadalls incorporate JCB’s compact Dieselmax 3.0-litre EU Stage V diesel engine, which is reckoned to use 5% less fuel than previous models. Tru Plant has also been buying JCB backhoe loaders, rough terrain forklifts, Teletruks, site dumpers and other telehandler models over the last 18 months. Budget Forktrucks Ltd is celebrating the renewal of a long-term relationship with a government client, which will see the supply of a major upgrade in their forklift truck capacity, improving the efficiency and speed at which they are able to work. The agreement will see Budget Forktruck supply a brand new Kalmar DGC-160 forklift truck to the government site, which manages the loading and unloading of shipping containers. Ardent hire has placed a £13m order with Mawsley Machinery for Manitou telehandlers. The order includes fifty of the 14-metre MT1440 as well as more than forty MT625, MT732 and MT932 machines and up to thirty MT625s before the end of the year. Ardent was formed in 2015 from a merger of One Call Hire and telehandler specialist Fork Rent. It still claims to have the largest fleet of telehandlers in the UK, with more than 3,600 machines.
