Dunstall Holdings Limited is pleased to be able to announce the acquisition of Amvar Handling Solutions Limited and Amvar Storage & Workplace Solutions Limited.
Dunstall Holdings, which also owns Rea Valley Tractors, is a business based in Staffordshire which is owned by local entrepreneur and farmer, Simon Clarke.
The Amvar companies, which were formed in 1998 and are based in Cradley Heath in the West Midlands, are engaged in the supply and maintenance of materials handling equipment and workplace and storage solutions. The business was previously owned and managed by Mr Malcolm Mitchell, who will continue in his role with the businesses as Sales and Commercial Director.
The purchase of the Amvar companies follows the acquisition of Lift West Limited in 2018 and further strengthens Dunstall Holding’s presence in the materials handling sector. The businesses are very similar to Lift West in that they supply a wide range of new and used forklift trucks and warehouse equipment, together with hire, service, maintenance and spares. Amvar also supplies driver training pallet racking systems and mezzanine floors together with many additional industrial work space solutions through its catalogue and web sites.
Like Lift West, the businesses are also a supplier of the TCM range of Forklifts but focuses on the Birmingham, Dudley, Telford, Walsall and Wolverhampton areas. The territories covered by Amvar will compliment those already covered by Lift West which include Stone in Staffordshire and also from Gloucestershire down to the South West of the country
The business has a turnover of £3.5m and has 20 employees.
